Workshops

Circus Jim offers a range of circus workshops from a two hour taster to performance or parade projects of one week or longer.

Whether for fun, educational benefit or both, workshops can be provided for;

Education -
Nursery, Primary, Secondary Schools, Special Schools, Colleges, Secure Units.

Youth groups -
Youth Clubs, Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies (leading to Circus Badge).

Events - Fetes,Carnivals, Birthdays and other private functions

Corporate Events and Teambuilding 
A Circus Workshop can also be a great opportunity to develop team skills, as an ice breaker or for something completely different after your business conference.

Performing Arts
Workshops can develop skills for Professional and Amateur performance - e.g. Barnum

What Happens in a workshop....

Workshops often start with a warm-up game - pic right - a workshop for Primary School children

Games may be used throughout the workshop, for fun, to encourage concentration, to develop a skill.
A variety of props may be used e.g.- Parachute, balls, hoops.

We aim to have everyone achieving at least one skill

Circus Jim will tailor workshops for your needs.

 The teaching of the skills is targeted to the age and ability of the group.

A one day workshop in a school could be for a small group or for four different classes with over a hundred* children benefiting.

An open Have-ago workshop can be a great attraction at an open day or fete  - fun for all the family

A full day workshop with one group could culminate with a demonstration of skills by the group.

A Parade or Performance by the group to an audience needs a minimum of 2 days to prepare.

All the equipment is brought to your venue.

*Group size is dependent on the situation, skills taught, number of circus animateurs and and needs of participants.

Skills are demonstrated to the group, with their age and levels of ability taken into account

Participants then try out the equipment and individual help is given
